I first met Sophie and Alan together at their venue for their consultation. Within minutes it was clear to see the warmth and happiness in their relationship. One of the kindest couples I have met. Other than a few jitters they were so excited to tie the knot.

Myself and my assistant started the day at Sophie’s mothers house in Cardiff where all the bridesmaids were getting ready and the make up artist and hairdresser hard at work. I took Sophie’s wedding dress into the garden for some shots by a beautiful tree. A sunny spring morning made the dress glisten and sparkle in the sunlight.

The little page boys and gorgeous flower girls were ready first and we shot pictures by the little wooden Wendy house (in between them all trying to run off to play football) there was loads of ‘dabbing’ and Alexa had the honour of trying on her mums shoes. A keepsake I know Sophie will cherish until Alexa gets her very own fairytale wedding.

The ceremony was at St Isan’s Church. A 15th century Norman church with beautiful stained glass windows that stretch all the way to the beautiful ceiling. A breathtaking church.

After a few photos it was off to Cefn Onn Park where the beautiful cherry blossom trees made the most dream like of backdrops, with the floor covered in white and lilacs petals. It was truly beautiful.
