Gower Bridal Shoot

As an advocate for local business and girl power, I wanted to put together a fun shoot using local wedding vendors to create original content showcasing our work.   The day started a little drizzly (Storm Ewan) tried to stop us, but our first model of the day Sophie Bell, Miss Wales 2016 1st runner up braved the weather. In a beautiful bridal gown from Cocomio a Cardiff based premium dealer for both Pronovias, San Patrick and Aire Barcelona by Rosa Clara Group. We made our way up to the glamping teepee’s at Oldwalls, Gower in what can only be described as torrential rain trying our best to keep Sophie as dry as possible. Priorities!   Her hair stayed perfectly thanks to Amy Adamson, an amazing bridal hair specialist from Swansea. Her make-up looked absolutely perfect after being dolled up by award winning make-up artist Farhana Ali.   The weather finally broke and we had some glimmers of sunshine. Nadia Sulliman was in a beautifully embellished number ready to go. We decided to brave the mud and get down to the iconic Oldwalls bridge behind their bridal suite. Luckily we made it there with the dress and model fully intact and looking absolutely amazing. The Photographer may have face planted the bridge. Okay, I definitely face planted the bridge. But the images were totally worth completely embarrassing myself!   By the time we got to Ffion Moyle Miss Wales 2016. The weather was glorious! Ffion was our classic bride. We wanted to go with a timeless look. Hair up, red lip and oh my! Did Farhana and Amy nail this look. Wow! We carried her look straight over to Mulberry House, Oldwalls for some more stunning shots. The second half of the shoot took place at Fairyhill, Gower. A picturesque venue with so much history. The recently refurbished venue is the perfect backdrop for a photoshoot or wedding. With its beautiful staircase which was adorned with our amazing florist of the day Rachel Jenkins from The Dancing Daffodil. A Port Talbot based florist who supplied us with the most beautiful bouquets for the day. Completing our bridal looks for the day. We also made use of the beautiful Coach House. A 2 bedroom cottage on the grounds of Fairyhill, perfect for a pre wedding stay or a weekend away. It’s beautifully decorated with a log fire. It instantly felt like home as soon as we walked in. The sun set and brought an end to our shoot, but not before these beautiful night shots! Such an amazing group of women and of course our Craig, god of light and helping hand for the day! We couldn’t have done it without you! Each and every person brought their ‘A’ game. I just hope you all enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. Apart from the face plant, that was a definite low point in my life right there.
