The Food at Fairyhill

Over the past few weeks I have visited the lovely Fairyhill many times, both professionally and as a guest. I have to say, from the first visit it felt like home. A cozy, kick your shoes off vibe as you walk through the door with the fires always glowing in the colder months.

The iconic venue soon to be booked up with weddings is adorned in plush fabrics and cow hide. Boasting incredible views and walks being in the heart of the Gower coastline, Wales. A hidden gem tucked away in between the towering trees, with the grounds quilted in lusty green grass. The absolute definition of picturesque and a perfect place to tie the knot.

My favourite visit was when I returned after the bridal shoot (see previous blog) to photograph their wonderful menu. A forever changing, seasonal extravaganza of locally sourced produce and home grown veg. I got to sample each dish as I photographed them and they tasted as good as they looked. Hearty, rich, decadent food that looks elegant and sumptuous on the plate. An absolute dream to photograph and a pleasure to eat.

The venue was recently mentioned in the one and only, Vogue Magazine. It’s a massive achievement and they certainly deserve it. A beautiful place full of wonderful people. I have enjoyed every visit and I cannot wait for another.

I’m passionate about absolutely everything I photograph but being a massive foodie, food photography will always hold a special place in my heart.
